So I just finished "Undomestic Goddess" by Sophie Kinsella.
One of the last times I visited with my sister she gave me this book. To quote her, "This book is SOOOO good you just have to read it!" I looked at it and she told me this was the same author of the Shopaholic series - more books I have not read. I do love the movie (I know nothing even similar - according to my sister). At the same time she gave me another book, same author, "Can You Keep a Secret?" Which was AMAZING! So I was not scared to pick up "The Undomestic Goddess."
"The Undomestic Goddess" is about Samantha Sweeting, high-powered attorney at one of London's top law firms. Things happen, Samantha meets different people and finds a whole life she never knew existed. I don't want to give you too much information because the book is just that good!
Sophie Kinsella's character development is great. Through out the book there were so many places where I could actually see in my mind what Samantha was doing, or what she was looking at. Now this is big for me, because many times I don't think in pictures - I have a hard time "seeing" what people are describing.
One thing that I noticed between the two books was that in "The Undomestic Goddess" more English words were used than in "Can You Keep a Secret?" It was not difficult to stay with the flow of the story though. But like "Can You Keep a Secret?" I got to a point when I could not put the book down. I finished this book in less than a week, with the bulk of it in one evening. (I only get time to read once Kaitlyn's in bed.)
I do want it known, these are my own opinions - I was not asked to review this book, nor was I compensated in any way. These are also my honest opinions.
I suggest getting both! You will not be disappointed. I wasn't.
I love it when the book gets so good it's hard to put down ;)
