When we are children we don't have much of a say in what traditions are carried out during the Christmas season. Our parents make those decisions and we just go with it. That is exactly what we expect Christmas to be, we have no other perspective. Then we get married and now there are two sets of expectations of what Christmas should be. Then you have children and that throws even a bigger twist into things.
