Flit and Flaunder (Friday Blog Hops)

Photobucket

I confess:
  • I linked up with this blog hop last week and had tons of fun!  So I am doing it again today.
  • I started typing this on Monday and added things to it all week.
  • The Wiggles get stuck in my head far more often than I would like to admit.  The bigger confession is that I don't mind all that much.  (hanging head with shame - toot toot chuga chuga) And yes, I know some of the dance moves.
  • I really dislike having to scroll to the absolute bottom of your blog to follow you.  It makes me ask, do you really want followers?
  • I really enjoy blog hopping.  I like reading new blogs, I like returning to ones I really enjoyed.  However, I don't like (on non-blog hop posts) comments 'following now, follow back thanks!'.  I dislike this so much (on my piece of paper I actually have the H word) I will find something on your blog to comment on, even if that means I have to look through several postings.  ***THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO POSTS THAT ARE SPECIFIC TO BLOG HOPS*** As I am thinking about this though, I really try to make a thoughtful comment if I am going to leave a comment.
  • I devour LOVE eating canned chocolate frosting on pretzels when I am experiencing PMS symptoms, stress or any day of the week a Monday.
  • I get more of my 'TO DO' list for work done after 8pm then I do all day long.
  • I really wrote this down on my 'TO DO' list - Type A Housewife - Thursday Blog Hop.
  • This plus the 8 above are from Monday.  HAHAHA
  • I hate my house! - There are 4 total beings in my family 3 humans and a dog, we live in a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath rental with TONS! of space and absolutely, no freakin storage!  Our 'great room' is over the 2 car garage and the size of one.  I would love to use it as our family room, so damn cold in there it freezes my feet! (hardwood).  The room we do use as our family room because of the doorways, vents, outlets and cable connections you have about 1 possible layout, which doesn't work all that great.  OH and I can't change anything because we rent.  I can't even store things in the basement because that is an apartment rented out to someone.  So when I want a quiet house chances are I won't get it because he is home with his tv/gaming systems going.  (Sorry for the vent more than a confession.)
  • I can get the same amount of work done in two different days and a day the TV is on in the background I feel is far less productive than when it isn't.  Weird right?!?
  • There are night that I prefer to stay up until 1am working, but I am a horrible wife/mom the next day because I am tired.  (as I type this at 12am Thursday morning).
  • I have lost track of time every day this week and it has resulted in a horrible meal Monday, going out to dinner Tuesday and pizza Wednesday.  Should probably do something in the slower cooker so I don't have to worry about it and it will be done at dinner time.
  • I cannot remember the last time I made a meal that was not "well it's food" and I can cook!  This must be getting pretty bad if for the last 3 mornings hubby has asked, would you like me to bring home Jimmy Johns for dinner?  Oh boy!

  1. Oh, dear! I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one with a weird TV issue! I get SO much more done when I have background noise! Strange...I usually just leave it on a music channel so I don't feel *so* guilty about watching Real Housewives all day.... I'm so glad that I found you!! I followed and grabbed your button so that I can be sure to check in for some more 'confessions' :)

(I also HATE the 'I'm following you now' comments. They stink!)

  2. You know I am going to have "big red car" in my head for the rest of the day and honestly? I don't mind either., They are one of the few programs where I don't find the music annoying :) It's kind of catchy and makes me want to dance!

I'm a new follower from the play and learn blog hop. I'd be delighted if you'd come by for a visit! :)

  5. I hate the "I'm you're newest follower...follow me back". That is NOT a comment! Drives me crazy. Let's me know that they did NOT read my post, which makes me not want to follow them.

I work well at night too, but I am so CRABBY when I don't get at least 6 hours of sleep.

    Great confessions!

Hope you have a good weekend!

  6. Following from http://carterchaos-ecarter.blogspot.com/!

And several of your comments above had me crackin up! :) Glad to find a blogger with such a terrific sense of humor.

PS I only added extra comments because you scared me. I was afraid if I didn't you wouldn't follow me back even though this is a blog hop comment. ;)

  7. @247 Mama - thanks for the laugh! Sorry I scared you.

I would have followed back for 2 reasons 1. It's completely appropriate to leave a "newest follower comment" because this is a blog hop post. =) 2. I follow back regardless. if you took the time to hit follow, and let me know I will do the same. I don't feel bad if I leave a "following back" comment then.

  9. Stopping by from the Spicy Weekend Hop - following via GFC, Twitter, & blogfrog!

I try to leave more than the basic, even on a hop specific post. When it's on a random post I get a little disappointed. I dislike "follow me" comments left on giveaway posts.

Sometimes when I'm returning follows my comments get more generic because of time mostly... but if you tell me you follow, I *will* return the follow on at least one system!

  10. I have a blast reading this! Great confessions! I work really good at night too, but can't concentrate with TV on the back (English is my second language, Spanish first, so I think in SPANGLISH and it's very difficult to write in English with the Backyardigans (in spanish)on the back). I am glad to find you, it's very hard to be a working home mom, I never have enough time to do it all, but other people doesn't understand, I always tell them just because I am home doesn't mean that I am resting!
I found you on Bloggy Mom, FOLLOW ME BACK (just kidding) Nice to meet you!

  11. Sara,

Thanks for visiting my blog this past week. We have Wiggles fever in the house as it is one of the few things my one year old adores. His big brothers don't mind, usually. Although, he's also now addicted to Speekee, a Spanish immersion program we evaluated this year.

Following you back. So glad you came to visit my blog (daybydayinourworld.blogspot.com) and I look forward to reading more on yours.
